About Coco Lin
Solo traveler. Buys her own data. Keeps the receipts.
I started this site for a selfish reason. I was tired of landing in a new country, hunting for a SIM stall, and never knowing if I paid a fair price. So I began writing down every eSIM I bought, what it cost, how much data I actually used, and whether I would buy it again. This is that notebook, made public.
I travel solo and I pay for everything myself. Nobody hands me free plans to review. That matters, because it means I have no reason to talk up a plan I would not use. If a plan was slow or overpriced, I say so and I move on to the one I would actually recommend.
How I check prices
I cover 40 countries and 9 regions. Every store page shows the date I last verified its plans. Here is the routine:
- I recheck prices across the providers I trust at least once a month and stamp the date on the page.
- I rank plans by value, which usually means price per gigabyte for a realistic trip size, not the flashiest headline number.
- I test coverage on my own phone where I can, and I say plainly when a note is based on a past trip rather than a live test.
- I keep the tables simple: plan, data, validity, price, provider. No fake countdowns, no invented discounts.
How I pick a favorite
For each destination I flag one plan as the one I would buy again. It is usually a mid size plan that balances enough data for a normal trip against a price that does not sting. If you travel lighter or heavier than me, the full table is right there so you can size up or down.
Affiliate disclosure
This site earns affiliate commissions from providers featured here. Recommendations follow the prices shown. When you buy through a link on a country page, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change which plan I rank first, and it does not change the price you pay. If a provider paid the most but priced the worst, it would still sit at the bottom of the table.
Say hello
I share trip notes and price updates on X at @cocolin. If a price on this site looks wrong, tell me there and I will recheck it.
